training. The BAcC was formed in June 1995 by the unification of five
member groups of the Council for Acupuncture (the British Acupuncture
Association & Register, The Chung San Acupuncture Society, The
International Register of Oriental Medicine, The Register of Traditional
Chinese Medicine, and the Traditional Acupuncture Society).
BMAS web site, regularly
updated.. The BMAS promotes the use of acupuncture as a therapy following
orthodox medical diagnosis by suitably trained practitioners. Membership
of the BMAS is open to all UK registered doctors, dentists, and veterinary
surgeons with an interest in acupuncture.
